Balsamic Vinegar wins five stars *****

We are very pleased to announce that our Balsamic Vinegar from Amerigo has been awarded the top award of ‘Five Stars’ by ITALIA! magazine

Their exact words were…….

 

“The Amerigo brand is one of quality, and certainly the expectations weren’t disappointed in this instance. This rich vinegar has the medium-to-light viscosity of a young balsamic vinegar, but the sweet and tangy flavour is deep and delicious. Described as “fresh and fruity” by the panel, there’s more than a hint of full cream sherry in the nose. It is very smooth without the acid aftershock of some of the vinegars here. This would make a wonderful marinade and is perfect for drizzling over gutsy Parmesan shavings. Also enjoy the simple pleasure of dipping a corner of fresh crusty  into the luscious burnt umber condiment for a basic appetiser with olives. The sweet aftertaste lingers on the palate and makes you want to come back for more – make sure you do!”

Panettone & Pandoro

As well as the usual Panettone Classico, this year we have quite a few different speciality cakes for you to consider.

 

We have panettone from Piemonte; they are notable for its hazelnut and almond crust. We have chocolate pannetone, gianduja panettone and even an alcoholic Zabaglione panettone (pictured).

 

Or as an alternative why not go for a Pandoro or maybe the Tuscan cakes – Panforte & Pampepato.
